Upon completion of our intended CAD models, we proceeded to 3D print our project's main body. We printed out the housing, sliding mechanism, and a substitute for the rubber piece that would go on top of the holder. The camera screw, phone holder cover, holder screws, holder foam pad, and the pivot ball tightener were reused for this new assembly as they were not necessary to remake. Once our phone holder was assembled, it was time to put our tripod to the test to see our new holder can match with original model. Attaching the phone to the holder and mounting the tripod on to a railing in the Mechanical Engineering Laboratory, the new assembly executed its intended function with no issues. In the end, the tripod was manufactured to be more manufacturable for the company selling the tripod as well as the intended consumer with the new lighter and much easier to assemble tripod.
